Digital Scrapbooks

Reasons for use

  • Create online scrapbooks to convey a multitude of instructional goals: book reports, chapter summaries, character portrayal, number stories, events in history, important people, states, countries, etc.
  • Another way for students to present information digitally as opposed to creating a Power Point presentation.
  • Visual and textual way to convey information.
  • Create books & posters however the author sees fit - differentiated.
  • Can be individual or collaborative projects based on curricular objective and goal.

Ease of use

  • All of the sites outlined below are very easy to use.
  • Some sites require email addresses for accounts, but teachers can create "generic" accounts for their classes that all students can use simultaneously.
  • Drag and drop features make it easy for you to focus on the content, not the tool.
  • Once created, the books/posters can be shared via email, printed, or embedded into a website, wiki, moodle, etc.
