What is Evernote?

"Evernote makes it easy to remember things big and small from your notable life using your computer, phone, and the web."

Reasons for Use

  • To create personal notes and organize them into notebooks for different subjects, projects, topics, etc.
  • To easily clip and organize content (text, images, movies) from the web.
  • Take photos using a webcam or smartphone to quickly capture notes, ideas, etc. (When you search for terms, Evernote finds words in images - very cool!)
  • To compile all information for a particular project, paper, research topic, etc in one place
  • A nice way to move the typical research project from notecards to a digital format.
  • You have the ability to share notebooks so students could collaborate on notebooks together, students could share notebooks with teachers, and so forth.
  • Notebooks can also become public URLs, so students and teachers could publish notebooks as websites to be seen by all.
